Signs Your Start-Up is a Success

Signs start-up is success picAll businesses begin as a start-up with an unknown future. However, the goal for all is to grow the company into a stable and more mature business. But, how do you know when you’ve hit your goal? It may not be as easy to recognize as you might think. Below are a few good indications that your business has made it past being a start-up:

  • Your numbers show it . When you look at your books and you see revenue growth, it is a sure sign that your business is a success. It is rare that growth is accomplished quickly. In most cases it is a natural and slow process. You may even see ups and downs in the company’s income, which can make it difficult to recognize the growth. However, as long as your company’s revenue is showing a persistent increase in income, your business is a success.
  • Customers come to you . When your business first got started, you probably spent every waking moment trying to get your company’s name out there. Once you reach the point where customers or clients are seeking you out, it is a huge step. When others take the time to locate you and get in touch, you have impacted their lives.
  • You can go on a vacation . When your business first started, you likely worked 24/7, including holidays. The thought of taking a vacation never entered your mind because without you present, the business would likely fall apart. However, if you have reached the point where your entity is a solid enough operation that you can leave for a week and not have to spend the entire time attached to your phone problem-solving, your business is a success. Having a support team in place that can operate the business and resolve issues without constant supervision is a huge step for any business owner.
  • You love your job . If you are able to pay your bills and you love your job, then consider your company a success. If you have employees that share this feeling and will assist you in working through any obstacles in your path, even better! Once you have achieved career satisfaction, it is time to enjoy it.
